Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitarist. She also sings. She is the youngest woman and was the first person to be awarded an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a rising singer on Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is the student of Ravi Shankar and is also his daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded around from London in the UK to New Delhi. When she was only 13 when her first performance was in New Delhi took place. In the following years, in Encinitas CA she attended high school. She graduated with distinction in 1999. The career of Anouskha as a recorder and performer is remarkable, even at her age. She has been accompanying her father on stage for several years. In 1998, she released her debut solo album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years after her debut solo album. As she's appeared on many of the biggest stages around all over the globe, her stage career has been expansive. Anoushka's career goes beyond the realm of music. Bapi the love of My Live, a biographical picture written in tribute to her father Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. In 2003 she starred as the role of a Bharat natyam young dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shakar's profession will only continue to grow and grow. We can look forward to seeing many different things that she does. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of her time in London and Delhi throughout her childhood. Later, she moved to California to attend high school. When she was 9, she started studying music with her father. Her debut performance on the Sitar was during her birthday celebrations for her 75th birthday in Delhi just four years later. Anoushka has gained lots of knowledge by traveling around the globe along with her dad. She performed in Carnegie Hall in her teenage period, as well as recorded for George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. In recognition of being an outstanding musician in the field of Asian Arts, she was given the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
